Many exams require scheduling. If yours does, you will be prompted to schedule a specific time to take your exam. Scheduling is based on slot availability, so scheduling in advance is the best way to ensure you can reserve your preferred time. Depending on your institution or organization’s policy, you may be billed for your exam (for more information on billing and payments, review this help article). • If your exam allows rescheduling, you can freely reschedule or cancel up to 60 minutes after you have scheduled your exam.

How Do I Schedule My Exam?
To schedule an exam using the ProctorU Platform follow the steps below. If you are testing through a live test-center this process is slightly different (check here for details). When scheduling an exam, schedule based on the time zone that you will be located in at the time of your exam, not the time zone of your institution or organization.
- Log into your ProctorU account and visit the "Scheduling" page.
- Select your "Term" and the "Exam" you're taking (You can search by instructor name as well!)
- Choose the date and time you'd like to take the exam and click "Schedule."
What is On-Demand Scheduling?
The ProctorU Platform offers on-demand scheduling features that allow test-takers to schedule an exam on an “On-Demand” basis. This will automatically schedule the next available time slot, typically within an hour. Exams scheduled on demand may incur additional fees. To find more about that, check this help article.
How Do I Reschedule My Exam?
If your exam allows rescheduling, you can freely reschedule or cancel for up to 60 minutes after you have scheduled your exam. If you've surpassed the 60-minute window, you will need to schedule a new exam.
To reschedule an exam within the ProctorU Platform, simply click the the reschedule button on your "My-Sessions" page. This will bring you to the scheduling process outlined in the above “How Do I Schedule My Exam” section. Follow that process to reschedule your exam.
How Do I Cancel My Exam?
You can freely reschedule or cancel any exam that is more than 24 hours from it’s start time. If your exam is scheduled within 24 hours, you will no longer be able to cancel an exam.
If no option to cancel is available, please use the LiveChat feature in your ProctorU account to speak with a Support Agent for additional assistance.
- To cancel your exam log into go.proctoru.com and select "Cancel" next to the exam you would like canceled.
- You will be presented with a pop-up asking you to give a reason for the cancellation. Once you've provided a reason, click “Submit” to cancel the exam.
