Touch Points
Touch Points are either automatically logged by our system, such as disconnections, or recorded by the proctor. They provide valuable insights into events that occur during a session, which can include disconnections, technical issues, and potential violations of academic integrity.
Comments
Comments refer to free-form notes submitted by proctors or technicians, offering additional insights into the session's context.
CPU Usage
CPU Usage represents the percentage of processor power being utilized, recorded every five minutes throughout the session. If a test taker’s computer usage is excessively high, it may lead to technical difficulties during the session.
Download and Upload Speed
Download and Upload Speed indicate the test taker's internet connection speeds, measured at the beginning of the testing session for technical troubleshooting purposes. Insufficient download or upload speeds may result in technical difficulties during the session.
Incident
An Incident is recorded only when marked by a proctor. It is important to note that not all incidents require a comprehensive report upon further review by our team after the session concludes. Additionally, our team may still be reviewing the incident and will draft a formal incident report within 24 to 72 hours after the session's fulfillment.
Session Interrupted
The Session Interrupted activity records each instance of disruption during a session. Often, these disruptions are classified as "soft disconnections," which do not affect the test
taker's or proctor's view. If a disruption lasts for an extended period, the system will log the duration of the interruption.
LMI Chat
LMI stands for “Log Me In” and is the chat application used for communication with test takers. This feature is sometimes referred to as the “proctor chat.” The chat log is located in the upper right corner of the session page and is referenced in the activity log to indicate when a test taker connected to the chat and whether any disruptions occurred.
