Sessions/appointments within ProctorU are assigned a status; the table below can be used as a reference to understand the meaning of each better:
Session Status | Definition | Example Scenario |
---|---|---|
Pending | A session assigned to a test taker that is yet to be scheduled. | The test-taker has been invited to an exam but has yet to log in to their ProctorU account and schedule it. |
Scheduled | A session that has been scheduled, either by the test taker, instructor, or an admin. | The test-taker logs onto the ProctorU website, selects the exam to schedule, selects the time, and schedules the exam. |
Running | A session that is currently in progress. | Test-takers started their session and are either in the test or going through the ProctorU Pre-Checks.(mobile hotspots and tethering are discouraged) |
Fulfilled | A completed session. | Test taker takes exam, submits the exam and the proctor ends the session |
Voided | A session was started by a test taker, but they left the session before passing the ProctorU pre-checks. | The test-taker begins a Record+ exam, goes through a portion of the ProctorU pre-checks, and closes the browser without trying to reconnect to the exam. |
Aborted | A session in which the test taker triggers a lost focus incident. | The test-taker begins the exam, gets into the exam, triggers the copy/paste event, and the sessions abort due to this event. |
Cancelled | A session that has been canceled. | The test-taker cancels an exam before it begins and doesn't reschedule it, the test-taker doesn't show up for their scheduled appointment, or a test-taker runs into an issue during the exam and can't continue or reschedule the exam. |
Rescheduled | A session in which the test taker reschedules their exam. | The test-taker logs into their ProctorU account and reschedules their session. |
