Preparing for 2nd Camera Exams
- If you’re scheduled to take a proctored exam with a 2nd Camera, you will need to come prepared with a mobile device or portable tablet equipped with a front-facing camera and stable internet connectivity.
- Make sure you have a phone charger within reach of your workspace, as your phone's camera usage will drain its battery.

How It Works
The 2nd Camera is an additional security feature that you will set up during the hardware configuration step. This second camera, using your mobile device, provides an additional view of your room and workspace, in addition with your computer’s webcam and screen capture.
1. Connecting your mobile device
The 2nd Camera does not require any additional app downloads on your mobile device. During the pre-exam hardware setup, you will be prompted with a QR code. Scan this code with your mobile device and navigate to the link using your mobile web browser.

Alternatively, you can type out the shortened url by navigating to the “Click here to use a link instead.”

2. Allowing Mobile Device Camera
The secure web URL will request access to your camera. Please allow access, as it is required to complete the 2nd camera setup.
3. Positioning Your 2nd Camera
To keep your second camera stable, you will be prompted to position your mobile device horizontally or in landscape view. You can then use a set of cups, books, or similar objects to prop up your mobile device securely.
